Ligature Volume 7: Dave Straus Out Now
An innovative micro-site by and about artists making unusual connections
SEATTLE, Wash., April 1, 2009 – Ligature Online (http://www.bigfigdesigngroup.com/1.0/Ligature/Ligature.html ) today announced the release of Ligature Volume 7: Dave Straus.
Straus is a Chicago native and an ad-man; the kind of artist that has made a career of making other people’s products and ideas look great. His roster of clients is a mile long, and as a result his personal work has often taken a back seat to his client work—until now!
Futagoyaro—Dave’s first film—is causing quite a stir on the Internet. It has the wit and wisdom that can only come as a result of successfully bridging the chasm between advertising and art.
“I must be trying to relive my childhood,” says Straus, “– or the childhood I imagined I had. Most of these visuals pour out of my head after a good Osterizing®- blend of ingredients formed from time spent living and working in Japan, viewing too many monster movies and watching my daughters play.”
About Ligature Online

Artists slated to exhibit include Susan Andrade, Barbara Kosoff, Susan Benarcik Pete Benarcik, Dan Glassman, John Beach, Dave Straus, Miles Goodwin and Stacy Mar.
